In this guide, we will show how to easily locate all five of the stars required to open the jewelry box in Silver Pines. The five stars are spread throughout the town with some not available till later in the game. Opening the jewelry box will reward you with a gold ring that is required for one of, and probably the best, Silver Pines endings – the Rest ending.

Find the Five Gold Stars and Open the Jewelry Box
Early in the game you will locate a jewelry box with star-shaped five holes in the top. You need to locate all five stars to open the box and inside find the gold ring.
Gold Star 1
When you first get to the Rabbit Hole bar a little while into the game, you’ll find your first star on a table in the middle of the bar:

Once you have the sledgehammer, you’ll want to make your way onto the ferry back to the first island – we have a guide on how to restart the ferry in the footer. Once back here, head south to find the lighthouse. Smash the wall and climb up to find Motel Room 3 key:
Head to the motel. Once there, enter 6671 on the panel you’ll find your next gold star inside.
Gold Star 3
After completing the cemetery location, return to the diner in Downtown. You’ll find the cowboy you met in a dream earlier on. He’s been shot, speak with him and then next to him is your next gold star:

When you get to the top of the mountain, you’ll come towards the building in the north. Speak with the girl in the yellow raincoat, who you will have previously met in town. She’ll lie down after and you can collect the star from her:

Finally, much later in the game when you’ve collected all the cable car bells, you’ll need to return to the caravan where the eclectic man has been digging a hole. You’ll likely have seen him a few times before now, and we recommend going to see him regularly for some interesting dialogue. You’ll need to head inside the caravan to grab his shovel:
Once you have it, jump into the hole yourself and dig further. In there, you’ll find the final gold star:
Gold Ring and Rest Ending
Once you have all five gold stars, put them into the jewelry box. Inside, will be a gold ring which is needed for one – and probably the best – of Silver Pines three endings:
Spoilers ahead: After you meet Eddie Velvet, you will want to avoid killing him. You need to head back to the Rabbit Hole and you can enter this ring, alongside the other you’ll receive naturally, into the wall to start the Rest ending:
