In this guide, we will show how to easily locate the cat you can pet in the early stages of Silver Pines. By doing so, you will unlock the Moment of Calm, Brief Respite Achievement / Trophy and some unique dialogue here and later in the game.

Pet the Cat

This achievement is almost unmissable, but it is entirely possible to do so. After taking out the first boss, continue on and use the Ferry Station key on the door. The Ferry Station is located here:

Be sure to interact with the cat before calling the ferry. Head inside and chat to the cat. After speaking to them, they’ll walk away. Step up to them again and interact with them to pet them.

Once you’ve petted that cat, you’ll unlock your Achievement or Trophy. Now, let’s get on to the ferry and head to Downtown Silver Pine. Be sure to keep an eye out for the black cat again later on, whom you will now be able to have deeper dialogue with.
