In this guide, we will show how to easily call 911 from a payphone at the very start of Silver Pines. By doing so, you will unlock the A Call for Help Achievement or Trophy and hear some unique dialogue that builds the backstory of this excellent horror Metroidvania.

Check out our Silver Pines Review to get our full thoughts on the game.

Call 911

At the very start of the game, you’ll be in the Miner Diner. During these very early stages, you’ll come across some coins that are a critical and very scarce currency in the game. Be sure not to waste it during your time in Silver Pines!

A short while later, you’ll come to the Motel, a key story location. Just outside, you can’t miss the blue payphone, which is used to save your game.

Walk up to the payphone and put a coin in the slot in the top right. You always need a dollar for every call.

Once you’ve put the dollar in, enter 911 and press call. In doing so, Red Walker will begin to learn that all in Silver Pines is not as it seems. This is really interesting dialogue that you don’t want to miss at the start of the game.

And once the call finishes, you’ll have what will likely be your first Silver Pines Achievement or Trophy. Now, let’s head into the Motel and learn more about this eerie town. If you’ve missed this at the start of the game, you should be able to call 911 from any of the game’s payphones.
