Gears is back baby! The Coalition have returned with Gears of War: E-Day the latest entry in the iconic XBOX franchise. A prequel that tells the story of Emergence Day, the day when the Locust army reveal themselves. Marcus, Dom and other Gears band together to take on this new threat in the city of Kalona as the world of Sera changes forever!

Unlock the “I Am Heavy Weapons Guy” Achievement

To unlock the “I Am Heavy Weapons Guy” achievement you will need to “Kill 10 enemies in a row using a single detached turret.”

There are plenty of opportunities to detach a turret throughout the game, but they often involve larger enemies that take more hits to go down. I got this during Act 3, Chapter 3 (Last Foothold). When you are in the open-world bit of the chapter, and are exploring the ravaged city. Before completing any objectives, head up to the Landa Memorial Hospital. On the roof, above the entrance is a turret.

You’ll come here later as part of a main objective, but it’s crawling with Locust at that point, and they’re using the turret. Heading here early, means you’re not harassed.

Detach the turret, and head back where you came. There should be some juvie / unarmored wretches about to take out. LT (XBOX controller) revs up the turret, and RT fires. Do small, short bursts so as not to waste ammo and keep your accuracy.

Head to the location on the map below. There is an underground parking lot that Marcus will comment on as you approach. In there is a hard case to collect. As you head in, you’ll be ambushed by E-Holes popping up with plenty of enemies to kill. There’s loads of tickers here, which all count so have at it.

You should get it fairly easily in here. Be sure not to put your turret down, I’m not sure if it breaks your streak, so no point risking it.
