Gears is back baby! The Coalition have returned with Gears of War: E-Day the latest entry in the iconic XBOX franchise. A prequel that tells the story of Emergence Day, the day when the Locust army reveal themselves. Marcus, Dom and other Gears band together to take on this new threat in the city of Kalona as the world of Sera changes forever!
Unlock the “Two Grubs, One Gut Punch” Achievement
To unlock the “Two Grubs, One Gut Punch” achievement you will need to “show two Grubs what a single Gut-Puncher round can do”. This means you need to take out two enemies with a single Gut-Puncher round.
The Gut-Puncher is the new (and very fun) grenade launcher in Gears of War: E-Day that has automatic and manually detonated rounds. On an XBOX controller, you fire the rounds using RT, and if you hold the trigger as you fire you can choose when to detonate by releasing the trigger at the right moment.
To unlock the achievement, simply wait until you two locust enemies are together and fire, releasing the trigger at the right time. You can track where the Gut-Puncher round will do damage by watching out for a digital orange grid that appears to indicate where the ammo will explode.
Once you have picked up a Gut-Puncher weapon, you can access it at any time to add to your loadout from one of the many Supply Caches you come across as you go through the game. There should be plenty of opportunity to get this achievement.
