After surprising many with a great spinoff in Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang and Double Eleven are back with Minecraft Dungeons 2. The game is setup quite a bit different from the original game, though this in many ways makes achievements easier. This guide will help you unlock the “Strike While It’s Hot” achievement.
Blacksmith
The Strike Like It’s Hot achievement tasks you with re-rolling a special item. This is pretty easy but is going to take a few steps before you can do it. In order to re-roll items you first need to get the Blacksmith into Brave Haven. The Blacksmith will naturally join the town after completing the “The Missing Note Blocks” quest. It is the 8th main quest in the game.
Once you have unlocked the Blacksmith in Brave Haven you can check out his shop where you can upgrade your items. Head into the shop and you can see that much like the other merchants you can upgrade the Blacksmith.
What you will need to do is upgrade the Blacksmith to at least level 2 which will require 20 Echo Shards. Level 2 gives the Blacksmith the ability to re-roll items. With the Blacksmith upgraded to level 2 simply select any piece of equipment in your inventory labelled “special”.
In the next screen you will just want to select the re-roll option and then again to confirm it. Re-rolling will cost you a single Echo Shard. Once you do this one time the Strike While It’s Hot achievement should unlock! A pretty easy one once you know what to look for. And you may want to re-roll some items throughout your playthrough anyway.
