After surprising many with a great spinoff in Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang and Double Eleven are back with Minecraft Dungeons 2. The game is setup quite a bit different from the original game, though this in many ways makes achievements easier. This guide will help you unlock the “Mystic Librarian” achievement.

Dungeon Crawling

The Mystic Librarian achievement is unlocked by collecting the games 32 enchantment books. Technically these are labelled as a collectible in the menu, but they are quite valuable for making your gear more powerful.

You can’t actually begin finding enchantment books until a couple of hours into the game when you are saving the Enchantsmith. After completing the quest and bringing the Enchantsmith back to Brave Haven they will drop 4 books for you to start your collection.

Once you have the Enchantsmith you can begin finding enchantment books. Now you might be thinking they are a collectible so you have to look for them in specific spots. The good news is that’s not entirely the case.

Enchantment Books are found within the dungeons and Rifts of the game. These areas are randomly placed about the world and are procedurally generated. After completing a dungeon or rift there will be a chest at the end of the area. Inside these chests you can find many rare items, Enchantment Books being one of them.

Head into the rifts and dungeons to find rare items, including Enchantment Books

So long story short if you are wanting to unlock Mystic Librarian, focus on going through dungeons and rifts to get them as quick as you can.

I will also say that there are sometimes enemies running around the main maps with a chest on their back. If you catch them and kill them the chest will drop and these often have better stuff than normal chest. In one instance I did find an Enchantment Book inside, so this way is possible as well. The dungeons are probably your best bet though. Collect all 32 and the achievement will be yours.

Hopefully you get lucky with what randomly drops out of these end of dungeon chests!

Also I did find that after awhile dungeons and rifts in certain regions of the map stopped producing enchantment books. The last few I didn’t find until I went into the Sift region and went into the dungeons there which are called ravines.
