After surprising many with a great spinoff in Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang and Double Eleven are back with Minecraft Dungeons 2. The game is setup quite a bit different from the original game, though this in many ways makes achievements easier. This guide will help you unlock the “Code Cracker” achievement.

Illager Intelligence

The Code Cracker achievement for cracking the illager code in the Frozen Highlands. This is done during the Illager Intelligence side quest which can only be started after completing the “Hiking Frozen Highlands” main quest. With that quest completed you can pick the Illager Intelligence quest in the little village infront of the fortress.

Find this quest outside the Frozen Highlands fortress after completing the main quest in the region

Now this quest is a bit of a longer one so definitely use fast travel when possible. You will have to head north of the fortress where you will find some symbols. Interact with one and the quest will update to needing to head to the libraries to find 3 books in order to decipher the symbols. The libraries are all at the top of the fortress so fast travel back to infront of it.

Once inside of the fortress head to the upper floor and then outside on the roof of the fortress. Here will be the 3 different libraries you need to enter and grab the 3 books for. Be careful as each room you will be ambushed and have to clear all the enemies out before getting the book.

As soon as you have all 3 books you can then head back to where the symbols were north of the fortress. Again I recommend fast traveling to the front of the fortress to save a bit of time. Head back to the symbols, interact with all 3 where you will then be confronted with a difficult boss battle.

This boss is no joke, but it is similar to some other bosses you’ve already faced. Just take your time and keep your distance, healing when needed and using your ranged attacks. This boss will throw down pulsing charges that can do a lot of damage so make sure to jump over them, and avoid its charging attack.

With the boss defeated the quest will complete and you will earn your achievement. There’s a lot of drops from this boss so definitely a quest worth doing even if not going for the achievement.
