Minecraft Dungeons 2 – Ka-BOOM! Achievement Guide

After surprising many with a great spinoff in Minecraft Dungeons, Mojang and Double Eleven are back with Minecraft Dungeons 2. The game is setup quite a bit different from the original game, though this in many ways makes achievements easier. This guide will help you unlock the “Ka-BOOM!” achievement.

The Ka-BOOM! achievement is for killing 10 mobs with a single dynamite box. The dynamite will randomly spawn when you defeat an enemy and is deadly to pretty much all enemies. You carry it and then throw it, and anything in its radius gets blown to bits.

The logical way to do unlock this tricky little achievement is to find a dynamite and then run around gathering up a bunch of enemies and throwing it. I personally never really had much luck doing this method, but it may work for you.

What I was able to find however was a spot that is pretty much a guarantee to unlock this as you get a ton of enemies at once in a condensed space.

Frozen Highlands

This area that you will want to use is in the Frozen Highlands, which is a few hours into the game. You will get to the Frozen Fortress fast travel. From that fast travel point head towards the fortress where all the merchants are. At the first possible chance you get you are going to want to hang a right and go down a long path that takes you to the side of the fortress.

Head towards the Frozen Fortress and head down this path

Cross the giant bridge that is here and then head up and to the left (your characters left). You will pass a soul marker and go into a little section where you will be ambushed. Before doing that you can look around for some enemies and try and get a dynamite before heading in, but if not there’s probably a good chance you will get a dynamite off one of these enemies.

Inside this ambush you are in a very tight space with TONS of enemies, well over the 10 needed for the achievement. Throw your dynamite when you’ve got it and watch the show. If you don’t get it in the first wave there is a second wave that also has a ton of enemies.

If for whatever reason you don’t get it in this run, just die and head back as it will continue to spawn the ambush over and over. And that’s all there is to this one. It is a bit of a pain since it is luck based, but this spot should hopefully help you unlock it with ease.
