The Witcher 3 is one of the most beloved games of the last generation of gaming, if not one of the most beloved of all time, period. The finale to the Geralt trilogy from Polish developer, CD Projekt RED has sold tens of millions of copies across two console generations and its DLC, both free and premium, is adored by fans.
This week marks ten-years since the launch of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, the second and final expansion for the game which released on May 30, 2026. Blood and Wine includes 30-hours of additional content including the stunning land of wine, Toussaint. At the time of its release, many claimed it was worthy of Game of the Year accolades despite being DLC.
To celebrate the anniversary, the developers will be hosting a live stream on Thursday (May 28) at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm UK (BST) / 5pm CEST. The live stream will be broadcast across both YouTube and Twitch.
So, what will the livestream include? The current YouTube description states: “Join us on May 28th at 5 PM CEST for a special anniversary stream of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. Together with Kacper Niepokólczycki and Magdalena Zych, we’ll return once more to the land of knights, vineyards, and vampires! We’ll be waiting for you in Toussaint and in chat!”
Whilst we wait for new Witcher titles, many have been hoping that there will be one final new expansion for The Witcher 3. If there is to be news, one would expect it to feature during the livestream.
The studio has many Witcher projects in the works including The Witcher 4 which stars Ciri, as well as a full remake of the original. Incredibly, CD Projekt RED intend to release the entire Ciri trilogy within a six-year window.
