The investigation and deduction-based gameplay of Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss lends itself to some fun and sometimes challenging trophies/achievements. Although while you’re busy tracking down a missing deep-sea mining crew and dodging Deep Ones, it’s not always easy to keep track of them. Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn Trophy Guide
The Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn trophy/achievement is unlocked during Chapter 3, The Temple, and requires you to translate the temple inscriptions.
After the cutscene with David Curwen, the man being crucified in the central chamber, look to the right of them to see some Ocean-I crates against the wall.
Spin the Engraved Tablet to get the Deduction we need to solve, and then analyse the corroded battery plugged into the laptop to unlock the Lithium frequency.
Equip the Lithium frequency and use your sonar to track down other batteries, and try to find one that has both Lithium and Potassium Hydroxide, meaning it works. You’ll find at least one in the tent down by the tombs.
Once you have a working battery, return to the laptop next to the Engraved Tablet and plug it in to power it on. Interact with Anastasia Wolejko’s laptop to learn that it has her translations on it, and then use the Computer belonging to Anastasia Wolejko clue on the “How did Ocean-I translate the engravings in the temple” Deduction.
With the Deduction solved, you can now read the inscriptions on the basalt tombs and murals, and the Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn trophy/achievement will unlock.
