The investigation and deduction-based gameplay of Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss lends itself to some fun and sometimes challenging trophies/achievements. Although while you’re busy tracking down a missing deep-sea mining crew and dodging Deep Ones, it’s not always easy to keep track of them. So, here is our Beyond The Senses trophy/achievement guide for Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss.

Beyond The Senses Trophy Guide
The Beyond The Senses trophy/achievement is unlocked in Chapter 5, The Citadel, and requires you to work out the correct sonar frequency to see the Guardian’s invisible tentacles.

Here, I’ll show you which three frequencies you need without going through all of that.
Once you have seen the giant, eye-covered Guardian that blocks your path to the Star of Shamash, walk towards it and go to the left under its tentacle to find a small Ocean-I encampment.
To the left of the camp is a long hole in the ground that seems to have bits of strange mucus floating in the air across it. There is an invisible path to cross here to reach the other side; use the mucus to guide you.
Head inside the Laboratory and analyse the broken pod on the floor to your left to unlock the Macroplankton frequnecy.
Above you, hanging from a pipe is a human body that you can’t reach, but has blood dripping onto the floor below it. Analyse the blood on the floor to unlock the Human Blood frequency.
The last frequency we need is found in another pod attached to the wall. The vessel is cracked and inside is an organ you need to analyse. This will unlock the Shoggoth Heart frequency.
Go into your sonar menu and equip the Macroplankton, Human Blood, and Shoggoth Heart frequencies at the same time. Use the sonar and previously invisible tentacles will appear all over the place, opening up previously seemingly inaccessible areas.
Doing this the first time will unlock the Beyond the Senses trophy/achievement, and will make completing Chapter 5 much easier.
