Ever since I saw Grave Seasons at PAX East this past year, I knew that it was a title that I was going to love. Imagine, if you will, a Stardew Valley…where there was also the consistent undertone of horror and fear. THAT is Grave Seasons. And at today’s Future Games Show Summer Showcase, we got an update announcement from the team over at Perfect Garbage.
During this update trailer, we got to hear from both Emmett Nahil (Narrative Director) and Luca Azenaro-Acero (Narrative Designer). Specifically, discussion focused around the relationships with the NPCs of the game. And how your interactions will change and vary, based on your actions within the world. While not a massive update, it’s good to see that we’re still getting regular updates, especially as Grave Seasons is slated for a 2026 release.

More on Grave Seasons
Grave Seasons, publishing under Blumhouse Games, is a blending of the farming simulator genre with horror in a pixel-graphic universe. Fields of Mistria meets Yuppie Psycho. You might be surprised to hear about the extensive overlap in these genres (ask one of our fellow hosts of Girl Pod). But the game itself centers on the town of Ashenridge, which is now at the mercy of a supernatural serial killer. So as we romance and farm our life away, we’ll also be uncovering who is the killer…or better yet, what.
