As well as many Skulls and Terminals to find in Halo: Campaign Evolved, there are several miscellaneous achievements / trophies to unlock. In this guide we will show you how to unlock the Even Tempered achievement / trophy for completing beating mission 2, Halo without upsetting anyone. This is easy to do and I did it first try, here we’ll show you how, and at pace.
Mission 2: Halo
This achievement / trophy is easily unlocked on mission 2, Halo. You can unlock this on any difficulty but if you’re replaying for achievements / trophies, be sure to have the game set on easy difficulty to make your life much easier. You will need to play the whole mission rather than starting at Rally Point Bravo or later.
For this achievement / trophy, you need to equip the Temperamental Skull. This can be earned on New Mission 2: The Most Dangerous Game. See here for our All Skull Locations Guide which we have already collated for you.
The Temperamental Skull will make friendlies more likely to be agro’d if you hurt them by a stray bullet, grenade damage, or vehicle damage. To avoid hurting Marines, only use melee attacks when on foot. Then when you secure the Warthog, you don’t ever need to get out till the mission finishes, keep a friendly on the turret and let them do the dirty work, like so:
From the start of the mission, run all the way up the hill. The first encounter with Johnson and the Marines can be entirely skipped. Just keep running down the hill towards the Forerunner structure:
Once in here, hit the switch to open the gate and carry on through as normal:
When on the other side, it’s a simple case of clearing the 3 waypoints to save all Marines without angering them. Foehammer will drop you a new Warthog and you can tackle the outposts in any order. I started with the outpost to the left of the area, which takes you underground but you’re welcome to do them in any order you please:
This is really straightforward for a player of any skill level. Once the final mission cutscene begins to play you’ll unlock your Even Tempered achievement / trophy, congratulations!
