Advanced Clockmaking Trophy Guide

The Advanced Clockmaking trophy/achievement is unlocked by maxing out your Temporal Energy bar, which you do by collecting all 12 Star Core Fragments scattered across Tearfeld. With every three collected, your Temporal Energy bar will automatically increase, for a total of four times.

Below are links to all of the regions that have a Star Core Fragment, in the order you reach them:

Scorched Grove

From the Fast Travel Point, look out back the way you came and look for a flower you can bounce on to reach a ledge. At the back of this ledge is a chest with a Star Core Fragment in it.

Starstone Mines

You need to have Crunia’s Wings, which you get in the Clockmaker’s Rest region, to get this Star Core Fragment.

At a certain point, you’ll reach a large, dark chamber with soft green lighting, full of pillars and Hookshot points hung between them. Up and on your right is a ledge, that is our goal. Use your Hookshot to traverse this area, stopping on the second pillar you land on.

Turn back to face the entrance to this chamber, and you’ll see the ledge we pointed out earlier to the left. Glide over using Crunia’s Wings to find a chest with a Star Core Fragment.

Mount Cinder

You’ll reach a ledge overlooking an area where you have to platform between pillars of rock with rotating flamethrowers on them. To your left, and down at the bottom of the first pillar, is the chest containing a Star Core Fragment.

Lantern Port

From the Fast Travel Point, continue through the region until you cross over the water using several Hookshot points and fight a bunch of Inkies. Climb up the rocks and scaffolding at the side of the arena where the two windmills are.

Use the Hookshot points on the two windmills to reach the elevated platform above the larger one, where the chest with a Star Core Fragment is waiting.

Apprentice’s Wing

You’ll need either the Timebomb ability from Timeflux Channeler III or Crunia’s Wings from the Clockmaker’s Rest region to get this one.

From the Fast Travel Point, head back towards the room with the pile of books in the middle, and either use Crunia’s Wings to glide over the pile to the doorway above, or use the Timebomb ability to boost yourself up to it. Navigate the chess pieces and go through the door on the right to fight a bunch of Inkies. A chest with a Star Core Fragment is your reward for beating them.

Great Library

In the area where you platform between towering piles of books in a tall chamber, you’ll reach an alcove where a Cross Time Rift is tucked up in the corner. Jump up to it using the environment, and enter using the Stopwatch ability.

Use the water spouts to traverse this challenge room, defeat the Inkies that attack you, and reach the end to be rewarded with a Star Cor Fragment in a chest.

Celestial Kingdom

After riding some rails, you’ll reach some floating ruins with a checkpoint, and hidden behind the left hedgerow is a Launch Pad. Use it and then your Hookshot on the points to reach a cloud platform withsome floating walls on the right.

Wall grab between them, then ride the next set of floating walls over to an enclosed arena to fight some Inkies. After the battle, open the chest at the beack to get a Star Core Fragment.

Royal Highroads

After opening the gate and grinding the rail up to a large platform, defeat the Inkies waiting for you to make a pillar lower down with a flower to bounce on. Use it to get on top of the pillars, and platform between them to then reach another floating platform.

At the top of the floating platform is a chest with a Star Core Fragment waiting inside.

Auric Palace

As you progress through the region, you’ll reach a large structure with a checkpoint on it. Go up the stairs, and glide triple jump across to the other platform on it to reach a flower.

Bounce on the flower to be sent through the air to a small platform with rails you can ride to reach another, mulit-tiered platform with Orange Crsytals on it. Use the Launch Pad at the top of the stairs to reach the top where a chest with a Star Core Fragment waits.

Stonetusk Canyon

After the Fast Travel Point, you’ll ride a long rail into a crevasse full of trees and rails, with a door you need to unlock to progress. Instead, jump onto the rail indicated above, and at the end of it you will reach a Cross Time Rift.

Use the Stopwatch ability to enter, and use the water spouts to reach the arena, defeating the Inkies that spawn there. Afterwards, use a pair of water spouts to reach a floating platform above the arena to find a chest with another Star Core Fragment.

Clockmaker’s Rest

After jumping between several parallel electrified platforms, you’ll use a couple of Hookshot points to reach some ruins (you can see the Bell we want to reach to the left). Head to the top of the ruins and through the doorway next to the checkpoint to reach the Bell.

Hit the Bell to reveal an invisible path, and at the fork turn right towards the pillars. One top of one of the pillars is a chest with a Star Core Fragment in it. You can use the sparkles that linger to help you if the pathway disappears before you reach the end.

Chronos Aeternum

You will find this one after beating Armored Wilhelm and watching the cutscene. Behind the Fast Travel Point is a chest with a Star Core Fragment inside.

Once you have collected all 12 Star Core Fragments, you’ll unlock the Advanced Clockmaking trophy/achievement!
