Duskfade is a 3D action platformer inspired by the classics of the PS2 era, from Jak & Daxter to Kingdom Hearts, set in the fantastical world of Tearfeld. After a giant Clock Tower suddenly appears, trapping his sister inside, our young hero Zirian sets off with his clockwork companion Cuckoo to break the chains sealing the ominous structure. With various challenges, collectibles, and secrets scattered across the game, we are here to lend a hand with some helpful guides. A Clock Heart Piece a Day… Trophy Guide
The A Clock Heart Piece a Day… trophy/achievement is unlocked by maxing out your health bar, which you do by collecting all 12 Clock Heart Pieces scattered across Tearfeld. With every three collected, your health bar will automatically increase, for a total of four times.

- Starstone Mines
- Meridian Village

- Clockwork Academy
- Scriptorium of the Twelve
- Canal Hamlet
- Celestial Kingdom
- Royal Highroads
- Deepthorne
- Stonetusk Canyon
Erazus Forest
You find this Clock Heart Piece at the end of the castle that you explore as part of the You Seem Familiar trophy/achievement, which we have a handy guide for linked at the bottom of this article!
Starting from the Fast Travel Point, look for a Cloudie wearing a crown, and triple jump across the water near him to reach a cave on the other side. Make your way through the cave to the castle, and at the very end of it, on the exiting rampart, is the chest.
Scorched Grove
Once you have crossed over some rooftops and reached a checkpoint, you are in the right place. Jump down onto the nearby ground and defeat all of the Inkies that attack you. After the fight, look around the edge for a Red Starshine Crystal hidden behind some boxes.
Below the edge are a few ledges you can drop down to, and at the bottom under some wooden scaffolding is a chest with a Clock Heart Piece.
Starstone Mines
After you have defeated the Inkies in the cave covered in red and green crystals, go through the exit and jump across the raised rocks on your right to reach a long slanted path going upwards.
Run up it, avoiding the falling crystals, and jump between the platforms at the top to reach a chest with another Clock Heart Piece inside.
Meridian Village
From the Fast Travel Point, jump up the buildings near a waterfall, and jump across the suspended platforms to reach a high rock ledge.
Continue platforming between the platforms built around the trees and using your Hookshot until you reach an elevated part of the town.
Beat the Inkies that show up here, and a flower will bloom for you to bounce on to reach a higher rocky platform. Use the second flower to bounce up to the ledge with stained glass windows around it, and you’ll find a chest with the Clock Heart Piece.
Lantern Port
You need to have the Pendulum you receieve from Tailord in the Clockwork Academy to get this one.
From the Fast Travel Point, go through the cog archway and onto the wooden getty, then jump from it onto the rocky platform on the left. Get across to the far cliffs and walk around to find a secluded beach with a Cloudie guard watchng over it.
Just off shore, near a half submerged gold gear, is some Orange Crystal you can smash with a Heavy Jump Attack, revealing a chest with a Clock Heart Piece inside.
Clockwork Academy
There is a point in the Clockwork Academy where you have to traverse a hallway with clock pendulums swinging across it and boxes to jump between to progress through a doorway. Instead, jump and grab onto the floating wall past the doorway and ride it to the other end to find a chest with another Clock Heart Piece.
Scriptorium of the Twelve
After beating th Watcher boss, breaking the anchor, and watching the cutscene, you are back in control of Zirian in the Scriptorium of the Twelve. Past the Fast Travel Point is a chest with a Clock Heart Piece.
Canal Hamlet
After using some water jets and smashing some Orange Crystals blocking an archway, you’ll be attacked by a bunch of Inkies in a small town. After beating them, look at the buildings to the right of the archway you cam through to find a Wall Jump section to climb.
Jump across the rooftops to the rock platform with a Starstone Geode on it, at the back of the area and jump down to the balcony on your left. Behind the Cloudie, inside the building, is a chest with another Clock Heart Piece.
Celestial Kingdom
Look around the edge of the platform the Fast Travel Point is on to find a rail to ride up using your Sundial to reach a Cross Time Rift you need to use your Stopwatch ability to enter.
Use the bubbles to reach the contraption in the centre, avoiding the lightning to reach a platform with a gear you need to hit on it. This will raise another platform with another gear you need to hit, so navigate the lightning again to reach it.
Hitting this second gear lowers a third platform you can reach using the laucnh platform. From here, launch yourself up to the top of the contraption and battle a bunch of Inkies. Once the battle is over, use the bubbles to reach a floating platform with the chest holding a Clock Heart Piece.
Royal Highroads
Near the beginning of the Royal Highroads region, you’ll reach a checkpoint in front of a platform made of clouds, rocks, and crystals. On its left side is a rail you can use the Sundial to grind on it. Ride it back the way you came, and land on top of the column.
Look above you to spot a floating structure and use the Hookshot to reach it. Climb up to the top to find a chest with a Clock Heart Piece.
Deepthrone
You need to have Crunia’s Wings, which you get in the Clockmaker’s Rest region.
From the beginning of the region, look over the edge to spot a flower on a platform below in the distance, with a path down to it. Platform or use Crunia’s Wings to glide down to it and bounce on it to hit a second flower that bounces you to a high vantage.
Turn around and use Crunia’s Wings to fly through the boost rings and land on a ledge on the far side. A chest with a Clock Heart Piece inside is waiting here.
Stonetusk Canyon
At the end of the section with walkways you rotate by hitting their gears, there is a third gear in the ground that turns and lowers another walkway. Lower it, then jump onto and raise the nearest walkway so you can jump to the lowered walkway.
Jump on the flower once it is within reach, and use your Hookshot to reach the wall. Climb up and run along the cliff to reach a bridge. Cross it, and defeat the Inkies that ambush you on the other side. Once they are all dealt with, the shield blocking the chest with a Clock Heart Piece in it will disappear.
Once you’ve collected all 12 Clock Heart Pieces and raised your health to the max, you’ll unlock the A Clock Heart Piece a Day… trophy/achievement!
