Nell’s Diner, the long-awaited map for Phasmophobia, has finally been released in a major update by developers Kinetic Games. Hunters can grab a fresh new Badge to show off, just like in the Point Hope map drop just by following a few easter eggs. The update also brings a secret badge to collect for our veteran hunters.
Spoiler Warning: This guide for Phasmaphobia has spoilers for the some f the game’s easter eggs. You have been warned!
Money Bags Badge
Hunters who have spent $100K or more in-game will automatically receive the Money Bags Badge. If you’ve spent over 100K and you’re not seeing this in-game, make sure you’ve spent a minimum of $1 in the game shop (buying equipment) and played at least one contract since you’ve updated the game.

Ghost in the Machine Badge

To receive the super cool Ghost in the Machine Badge, there are a few things you must do in the new Nell’s Diner map. You can do these in a regular investigation or in a custom game where you can turn on friendly ghost. Either will get you the badge, but if you do turn on friendly ghost, the multiplier will go down, resulting in less money made.
Before you enter the building, make sure you bring in a flashlight and a UV light. Our First step is finding the safe. The safe is located in the manager’s office in the far right back of the building. To get to the office, head right as you walk in the doors, behind the counter, and enter the kitchen. Head through the kitchen doors, and the manager’s office is the first door you see. The safe will be under the desk in the far back corner.

Once you’ve found the safe, you’ll realize you will need a code to open the door. Located above the desk is a bulletin board with a Post-it note saying “reminder”. Use the UV you definitely brought in (go back and get one… I’ll wait) to find arrows pointing down, up, and right. In order to open the safe, you’ll need to find these 3 numbers.

Location of Down Arrow
If you walk back into the dining room and head towards the front door to the right, you’ll see a collage of signs and such. Find the road sign with a down arrow pointing towards a license plate. The number it points to is the number 4. Down is 4.

Location of Up Arrow
Walk back outside to the front of Nell’s near the truck. In front, you’ll see the tall Nell’s diner sign. On the sand below, you’ll see the number 1 with an up arrow underneath. Up is 1.

Location of the Right Arrow.
This one was a little difficult to find and understand. Stay outside and head to the right side of the building. You’ll see a red parked car, and some big trash bins lining the building. Look to the left of the trash bins for a spray-painted arrow pointing right. Follow it around to the opposite side of the bins to reveal a hidden number 5. Right is 5.

Opening the Safe
The code for the safe is 415. After you’ve entered it into the safe, you’ll hear a cute little ditty to signify you cracked the code. Stand up and pull open the safe. I could not for the life of me open it while crouched. Let me know if you could. Inside, you’ll find a debit card (similar to the Money Bags Badge)

Final Steps
For this part, you’ll need to make sure the power is on for every step. These next objects WILL NOT WORK if the power is off.
Once you have the debit card, you will need to find the ATM. The ATM is located in the back on the other side of the building. Exit the manager’s office and head right straight down the hallway. At the end, open the door and turn left. You will see the ATM right before the entrance to the dining room.

Stick the card into the ATM, and out will pop some cash. Grab the cash and turn around. Behind you will be a red soda machine and a blue soda machine. ONLY USE THE RED MACHINE. This is the only soda machine that will work to get you the badge. The blue machine pictured here and the red machine in the employees’ break room will take your dollar with nothing in return, and you will have to leave and restart.

After placing the dollar into the machine, a coin will appear on the floor. Collect it and make your way to the employees’ break room, located one door to the right of the manager’s office. Once you head in the door, you will see an arcade game called Lair of the Unliving. Turn it on, pop the coin into the machine, and wait.

A green, glowing skull will rise from the screen and surge past you, expanding until it fills the sky. Step outside, and you’ll see a massive skeleton looming over Nell’s Diner. You did it! You can wrap up the investigation or simply hop back on the bus and leave. As with Point Hope, identifying the ghost isn’t required to unlock this badge.
