inKONBINI – Mysterious Customer’s Story Trophies Guide

inKONBINI may be a convenience store simulator at first glance; however, its main focus is on the interaction with your valued customers and how their visit to HONKI PONKI has impacted the lives of its workers as well as their own. As such, many of the trophies relate to learning about the customers, their lives, and how we can best help them. It’s important to speak with our customers whenever they call us. Several trophies will require more than one playthrough, though luckily, inKONBINI isn’t a very long game. These guides will hopefully help you acquire these trophies, much like Makoto helps customers during her 7-day stay at HONKI PONKI. We will attempt to be as spoiler-free as possible, though it may be unavoidable, as inKONBINI is a narrative-driven game. Here is our guide for all the trophies related to the Mysterious Customer’s Story.

Check out our inKONBINI Review for our full thoughts on the game.

The Mysterious Customer’s Story

Your experience with the Mysterious Customer begins in Shift 2, and while creepy and unnerving, with the help of the other patrons, you will assist him and uncover his mysterious origin. There are four trophies associated with his story: Too Good to Pass Up, Sherlock, Convenience Reverie, and Unexpected Goods.

Unlike the others, only one play-through is required to obtain all four trophies, so follow along to catch them all!

Shift 2: Tuesday, August 24th

  • Stock the Dental Deluxe Kit (which is in the office Industrial Freezer), Premium Sushi Set in their respective spots.
  • Stock Harajuku Soda and Zen Leaf Matcha in the Special Offers Display

Open the store.

Recommend the sales products to him. Continue offering both the soda and tea until he finally succumbs to you and buys it. This will give you the Too Good to Pass Up trophy, congrats!

Shift 4: Thursday, August 26th

  • Don’t clean the puddle during his visit; this will create a small extra scene during his visit that you can later attempt to ask him about
  • Offer him an alcoholic drink, I gave him the Akeboshi Ale

Shift 5: Friday, August 27th

The mystery unravels!

If you’ve been following along, you should’ve received a charm from the Chief and delivered to you by Satoshi.

Due to this, we’ll finally find out the man’s true identity!

After he leaves, and several conversations, head over to the magazine rack at the Poppu Sukoppu (Sept. ‘93) magazine, inspect it, and look at the back. IT’S HIM!

After inspection, you’ll receive the Sherlock trophy! Congrats!

Shift 6: Saturday, August 28th

  • Offer him “that soda” that you offered him the first time you saw him as a customer. The hint is the fact that he’s standing by the specials display.
  • Ok, ok, it’s that Harajuku?

Doing so will give you the Unexpected Goods trophy, congrats!

Make sure to exhaust all the conversation options. Once done, he’ll tell you that he’s inspired to write another song! And with that, we will also get another trophy! Congrats on the Convenience Reverie trophy!

With the final shift completed, you should’ve received the four trophies associated to Jun, congrats!
