It’s hard to believe but after many, many, many delays, Replaced is finally ours to enjoy. The action-platformer set in an alternative cyberpunk dystopian 1980s America sees the story of Warren and R.E.A.C.H.. The aforementioned R.E.A.C.H. being an artificial intelligence that has unwittingly been swapped into Warren’s body. Now, trying to outrun lots of folk who want to kill him, R.E.A.C.H. must return to the lab where it all happened to try undo what has been done.
Replaced: Solving the Generator Puzzle in Chapter 3 Guide
This puzzle appears a fair way into Chapter 3, towards the end.
You’ll climb up a shaft that is lit with a red glow, and then crawl through a vent. You’ll emerge in a powered down room with three white glows up some steps. They are currently inactive and need power.
Head back down the steps and to the right, using the terminal with the green screen. Select “Start Emergency Generator”. Head back to where the switches are and you’ll see the three switches that weren’t usable now have displays on their screens.
Each display has four squares, three yellow and one green. The aim is to press the switch to move the green square into the correct space. You’ll know it’s in the right space because the emergency generator that is turned on (at the right of this upper bit) will gain a green light. Repeat this with three terminals until the three red lights on the generator turn green. Then press the switch on the generator and success!
