Spirit of the North 2: Fox Furs Locations Guide

Use our Spirit of the North 2 Fox Furs Locations Guide to grab all fox furs and nab the “Fashion Show” achievement / trophy.

Spirit of the North 2 has just been released and brings our furry fox friend back to save some lost animal Guardians. By mending their pain, by exploring the land, and defeating them in boss battles, you’ll help heal the land. Not only that, but you’ll gain allies to take on the final boss, Grimnir, the Shaman.

Not only can you spruce up your Fox and Raven friend with light essence from the one-day-a-week trader, but you can also customise your Fox’s appearance. This is done through Fox Furs as well as eye colours.

Spirit of the North 2 Fox Furs Locations Guide

To unlock the “Fashion Show” achievement / trophy, you’ll need to unlock 20 fox furs. Some of these are with Raccoon traders, and others are found within the open world of Spirit of the North 2.

The below isn’t necessarily the best order to find them, rather the order I collected them.

Starting Furs (1/20), (2/20), (3/20)

You’ll start with three furs unlocked from the very beginning of the game. These are:

  • Red Fox
  • Red Fox Variant
  • Spring Red Fox

Freckles (4/20) – Clearwater Falls, Mosswood

This fur can be found at Clearwater Falls. It’s in a chest under the small lake. You’ll need to jump on top of it, or use the Rune of Drowning to open the chest.

Tanuki (5/20) – Stormvale

Mushrooms. These might not appear in the same location, but these were found as a result of spotting the glowing red and white cluster of mushrooms. As you approach them, more will pop up in a certain direction. Keep following where they direct you until you reach the end where a turtle with a chest on its back will appear. The fur is in the chest.

This set of mushrooms was near the Ancient Tree, not far from Stormvale Fortress.

Please note that the appearance of mushrooms maybe different in your game.

Kitsune (6/20)- Lake Eres, Stormvale

Mushrooms. These might not appear in the same location, but these were found as a result of spotting the glowing red and white cluster of mushrooms. As you approach them, more will pop up in a certain direction. Keep following where they direct you until you reach the end where a turtle with a chest on its back will appear. The fur is in the chest.

Please note that the appearance of mushrooms maybe different in your game.

Gray Fox (7/20) – Raccoon Grotto, Stormvale

Winter Arctic Fox (8/20) – Arctic Fox Guild, Frigid Peaks

In the Arctic Fox Guild, there’s a gate you can’t open. There’s a small crawl space to the left of that gate. In there is a chest with the fur in it (and a skill point).

Frigid Peaks Raccoon Grotto

Two can be bought from here:

  • White Cross Fox (9/20)
  • Tuft Midnight (10/20)

Frostbite (11/20) – Frigid Peaks

High up the side of the mountain. Stormvale facing side. There’s a small stone cave. You can spot two stone pillars sticking out of the snow. I think you’re meant to open the door on the other side (like in the cave), but you can just scale the mountain.

Desert (12/20) – Fox Village, Fox Island

I think this is one of the first ones you should get, I totally missed it. Not far from the start of the area (as in where the game starts), there’s a chest on a raised pile of large stones. It’s before you cross the bridge to get your first obelisk and rune.

Raven (13/20) – Tower of Runa, Misthaven

Climb to the very top of the tower. It’s in a chest at the top. There’s a platform you’ll need to activate to get up (the pressure pad should be pretty easy to spot in the tower as you go up).

Marble Fox (14/20) – Racoon Grotto, Stormvale

Black (15/20) – Raccoon Grotto, Misthaven

I forgot to get a screenshot of the skin, but it’s black. I’ll try sort one out.

Chestnut (16/20) – Raccoon Grotto, Mosswood

Ashlands Raccoon Grotto

Two can be bought from here:

  • Cross Fox (17/20)
  • Cinder (18/20)

Champaign (19/20) – Wildwood Village, Mosswood

This one is behind a stone wall next to a house. You need to use Spirit Fox to walk over all the red pieces of statue to reform the statue. Once you’ve done that the stone wall will open and the fur is yours, in the chest.

Tuft Brown (20/20) – Raccoon Grotto, Mosswood

It’s definitely from one of the two grottos in Mosswood, but I cannot be sure which one.

I hope that the Spirit of the North 2 skill points locations guide was useful. Be sure to look out for our other Spirit of the North 2 guides.
