Defeat the Bear boss battle in Spirit of the North 2 with this guide.

Spirit of the North 2 has just released and brings our furry fox friend back to save some lost animal Guardians. By mending their pain, through the medium of a boss battle, you’ll help heal the land. Not only that but you’ll gain an ally to take on the final boss, Grimnir, the Shaman.

Defeat the Bear Boss Battle

To defeat the Bear, you must first get to it. You’ll do that in the Ashlands area, the fifth main area of the game. It’s fire scorched wasteland. As you explore the area, you’ll unlock access to the Temple of the Bear, and the Slumbering Furnace, within the Temple, where the Bear resides . You can find it pretty bang centre of the right hand side of the Ashlands area.

If you’re struggling to find the items needed to unlock the Temple of the Bear. Look to the sky and follow the red ribbons. Where these lead are the locations where the temple items are. Once you’ve found an item, return it to the Temple of the Wolf. Once these have been found, you’ll be granted access.

Make your way through, and you’ll find the boss arena with the Bear in it.

This boss is fairly simple. You won’t fight him directly. You’ve got to make your way up the river of lava. You’ll need to avoid the Bear who is trying to attack you throughout. There are three passage ways behind the Bear. You will need to head up each one and, using your Spirit Fox ability, activate the pillars at the end. Doing this three times will drain the lava and defeat the Bear.

He’ll throw an attack at you, and when you get close to him, he will attack the floating platforms to make them sink. On the final wave, he will also charge at you, making all the platforms in his way either sink or move out of the way. Just keep your wits about you and use your dash, glide and glide jump to say in the air as long as needed.

The lava won’t kill you instantly, but you’ll of course take damage.

Congratulations! That’s your penultimate boss defeated. On to Grimnir, the Shaman, the final boss!
