Spirit of the North 2 has just been released and brings our furry fox friend back to save some lost animal Guardians. By mending their pain, by exploring the land, and defeating them in boss battles, you’ll help heal the land. Not only that, but you’ll gain allies to take on the final boss, Grimnir, the Shaman.
Much of the game’s story and lore is told through a whole load of collectibles scattered throughout the land. You’ll unlock an achievement for finding 20, 45, and 89 of the collectible scrolls.
Lore Scrolls Locations Guide
We’ve split the collectibles by each of the ‘Tribes’ in the collectibles menu. There’s a tribe for each guardian, each with a number of collectibles under it. If you want to keep track of which ones you have, move your cursor over the name of the collectibles you are looking at.
You can then select them to bring up a drop-down menu of the collectibles under that tribe (this is never explained and easily missed). See the image below for an example.
The Stag Tribe Lore Scrolls Locations Guide
As a reminder, these are ordered by how they appear in the menu, not in the best order to find them. I would recommend playing through the game and collecting everything you can. You can then look at what you’re missing in the menu and nab everything post-game.
Lady Amara
Lady Amara (1/3) – Mosswood
In the lower part of Mosswood, a big open space with a beached Longboat. The scroll is in the base of this longboat. South of the City of Mosswood.
Lady Amara (2/3) – Mosswood, City of Mosswood
As you enter the City of Mosswood from the bottom of the city, there’s a broken-down wooden gate. On your right is a stone structure with two entrances, in there on a stone plinth, is the scroll.
Lady Amara (3/3) – Mosswood, Temple of the Stag
In the Temple of the Stag, as you head up you’ll reach a some stairs that go up. Before going up, and a bit before, look to the left and see a prison cell door. There’s a small hole in the wall to the left of the cell door. Jump through and find the scroll on the floor.
Bato the Doubtless
Bato the Doubtless (1/1) – Mosswood, Mosswood Mine
In the building up the stairs to the left of the entrance to Mosswood Mine.
King Kumari
King Kumari (1/5) – Mosswood, Forbidden Crypt
At the entrance to the Forbidden Crypt.
King Kumari (2/5) – Mosswood, King’s Glade
In a large structure, in the centre, on a stone plinth.
King Kumari (3/5) – Mosswood, King’s Tower
To the right side of the entrance to King’s Tower (one of the locations you need to attend to progress).
King Kumari (4/5) – Mosswood, Foxview Outpost
In a wooden shelter, near the Fox Tribe outpost.
King Kumari (5/5) – Mosswood, King’s Tower
On your way up King’s Tower, in a blue-y area, fairly easy to spot.
Storkush
Storkush (1/3) – Mosswood, Mosswood Vaults
Right in front of the entrance to Mosswood Vaults (before the slope). Unsure if it appears after completing Mosswood Vaults (you have to grab the relic to continue).
Storkush (2/3) – Mosswood, Mosswood Vaults
After activating the rope pull to turn on the the two lanterns to remove the red vines. There’s a scroll right in front of you, ahead of where you need to go.
Storkush (3/3) – Mosswood, Mosswood Vaults
Inside Mosswood Vaults. As you progress through, you’ll get to the bit where you need to take the flame through the door in the wall to avoid the waterfall. In the room you enter, look up and you’ll spot some wooden beams. Jump up there and the scroll is on a body on the ledge.
