Find all the Spirit of the North 2 Raccoon Traders locations and earn yourself the ‘Secret Market’ achievement / trophy.

Spirit of the North 2 has just been released and brings our furry fox friend back to save some lost animal Guardians. By mending their pain, by exploring the land, and defeating them in boss battles, you’ll help heal the land. Not only that, but you’ll gain allies to take on the final boss, Grimnir, the Shaman.

There are many puzzles and secrets scattered throughout the world of Spirit of the North 2, some trickier than others. The Raccoon Traders in the game allow you to purchase lots of helpful items, including runes, wisps, as well as keys to Fox Dens and skins and eye colours, for customisation.

Raccoon Traders

You’ll unlock the “Secret Market” achievement / trophy for finding 12 Raccoon Grottos. They are located all over the map, often in caves / underground locations. I’ve found 13 so far, but you need 12 for the achievement / trophy.

The Raccoon Grottos are indicated with this symbol on the map:

Misthaven (1/2)

The grotto is to the left of the map, in a cave, near the coast.

Misthaven (2/2)

To the right of the area, past the lake.

Mosswood (1/3)

Fairly north. On the coast.

Mosswood (2/3)

The left side of the area.

Mosswood (3/3)

The very bottom of Mosswood.

Stormvale (1/3)

The very top of the map.

Stormvale (2/3)

Central left of the area. Not far from the Ancient Tree (see image).

Stormvale (3/3)

The furthest right of the area, in a big cave. Not far from Shipyard.

Frigid Peaks (1/2)

This one is at the very top of a mountain. You have to open the door using a lit torch that you have to carry over from elsewhere.

Towards the bottom of the map.

Ashlands (1/2)

The north of the area. Below the Ancient Tree.

To the left side of the left area of the Ashlands.

Fox Island (1/1)

You’ll be able to access this Raccoon Grotto when you return to Fox Island, after finishing the rest of the game. He’s in the top area of the City of Foxhaven.
