First Encounter

When you first arrive on the planet Xephyr, the main quest will have you looking for your magnetic fork which was dropped on this planet. After following the quest markers you will eventually end up in an area that looks like a worm spawning ground and is aptly named Larval Roost on the map.

The first time you get to this area your EKO will tell you that you need a new ability to deal with the baby worms. You’ll have to go back to your habitat to learn the item skill Reflect-O-Matic Hand Gel. This ability allows you to slap projectiles back at enemies using the RB.

With this new skill equipped head back to the worm spawning zone. You will need to deflect the worms projectiles back at them to defeat them. Once you have cleared out around 5 or 6 baby worms the storage crate will disappear and Wormzilla will finally show up. The fight is much the same as against the baby worms, except Wormzilla will spit fire at you first. Dodge or jump out of the fires way. After this attack, Wormzilla will spit a projectile at you which you need to slap back at him. You will need to repeat this 3 times before Wormzilla runs off with your supply crate again.

Second Encounter

The second encounter with Wormzilla is a bit more involved. Once he’s run off with your crate you’ll have to do some more exploring of Xephyr while following the main quest markers. Eventually you will end up in an unground area in the Great Oasis area of the map. Down here you’ll have your final encounter with Wormzilla and attain a new piece of equipment. The Wormzilla boss fight has 3 phases and they’re really not too difficult.

First Phase

For the first phase you want to equip your Ferro Goo tank and run a stream from the electric mushroom straight to Wormzilla. There are Ferro Goo Dispensers located around the area if you need to refill. Wormzilla will tunnel under the ground and pop out and stay where he’s at for a brief while. If you are standing in his lane when he goes underneath you, you will take damage. He will also shoot fire at you which you will need to dodge or jump away from. If you’re hit there are also healing flowers in the area if you need health. After successfully electrifying Wormzilla, he’ll drop a crate with the magnetic fork.

Second Phase

Wash off the crate with water so you can open it. Wormzilla will then come back up from underground and swallow both you and the magnetic fork. Equip the magnetic fork and run through the only path available. It might not be obvious right away, but there is a tunnel to run through. Use the magnetic fork to pick up the metal crystal in the worms mouth and throw it at his tonsil. You will need to hit his tonsil three times. Wormzilla will then spit you back out.

Final Phase

Now for the final phase … use your metallic fork again to pick up the metallic crystals and throw them at Wormzilla. 3 hits with the crystals and you will defeat Wormzilla and earn yourself the ELECTRIFIED! achievement or trophy.
