Screenbound, one of the most inventive upcoming indies where you play in 2D and 3D at the same time has been postponed from its September 10, 2026 release date. In a new video uploaded to Screenbound’s official YouTube channel, developers Crescent Moon Games have announced an indefinite delay:
The developers say that they “want to take the learnings that came from the [Steam] Next Fest and apply them to the final product”. They’ve asked for the passionate community following to be patient whilst they take their time to implement the feedback they’ve received.
To ensure that the feedback continues, the game’s demo will remain on Steam and they’ve opened a Discord server where you can share any of your own feedback. If you join the Discord server you can get a preview of all the changes that the studio are working. Details of joining the server can be found in the YouTube video description.
Screenbound has been a highly anticipated indie for some time and has featured at multiple gaming showcases, including the ID@XBOX April Showcase where the title was confirmed as a Day One Game Pass title.
The game will come to XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC when it finally releases. If you can’t wait to get a flavour of Screenbound, you can still download the Steam demo now.
