New details for Persona 4 Revival have been steadily trickling out since its reveal during the Xbox Games Showcase last month, with the latest news drop coming from Anime Expo. During the Persona 4 Revival panel, Atlus debuted a trailer focused entirely on supporting party member Rise Kujikawa and revealed some details on which studio will be providing animation for the game’s cutscenes.
Persona 4 Revival is a ground-up remake of Atlus’s cult classic 2008 JRPG which received numerous spin-offs including the enhanced re-release Persona 4 Golden for PlayStation Vita in 2012. This is the second major remake in the series following 2024’s Persona 3 Reload and features new gameplay mechanics and an entirely new voice cast.
The game received a dedicated panel at LA’s Anime Expo today which featured series producer Kazuhisa Wada and character designer Shigenori Soejima. It’s here that the latest trailer centered on Rise Kujikawa was debuted, granting fans the first proper look at the idol and revealing that she will be voiced by Demon Slayer and Ace Attorney actress Abby Trott. Her performance of Rise’s song “True Story” from Persona 4 Golden can also be heard in the trailer.
Furthermore, Atlus revealed during the panel that the game’s anime cutscenes will be provided by Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen anime studio MAPPA. The protagonist’s Persona awakening scene was showcased. MAPPA also previously provided animation for the opening cutscene for Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 4 Revival will release for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 18, 2026.
