Persona 4 Revival now has a confirmed release date of 18th February 2027, following its appearance at the XBOX Games Showcase. Atlus used the event to share a new trailer, giving players a clearer look at how the remake is shaping up with updated visuals, refreshed character models and noticeably improved lighting across Inaba.
The footage included moments that line up with scenes from Persona 4 Golden, which suggests the remake is drawing from the expanded edition rather than sticking strictly to the original 2008 release. Atlus has not outlined every change yet, but the trailer showed tweaks to social links, new voice work and new battle animations.
Persona 4 Revival brings the original game’s small town mystery back with a full modern overhaul. Set in the rural town of Inaba, the story follows a group of students who become involved in a series of unexplained murders linked to a strange world that appears on television screens during foggy nights. Players spend their days balancing school life, friendships and part time activities, while nights are spent exploring dungeons and battling Shadows using their Personas. The remake updates the visual style, character models and lighting, while keeping the core mix of social simulation and turn based combat that defined the original.
The game will launch on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC, and it will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
