Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege is an NES-style 2D action game that focuses heavily on the difficulty often found in retro games, as well as its robust replay value.

This game plays in stages, 21 stages overall. While it’s not a very long game and each stage can be accessed individually using their password system, to obtain the platinum, it’ll require many playthroughs.
Many trophies/achievements can be completed by jumping straight into the required stage, so that’s easy. However, the ones that require a “playthrough” will require you to start from Stage 1, all the way to Stage 21, without a Game Over. This means that if you lose all your lives, you’ll either need to spend some green orbs to revive or start all over again from the beginning.
Also, please note that this article is currently a WORK IN PROGRESS. Several endings have yet to be acquired, and this guide will be updated once it’s been found.
Lastly, this is the PS5 trophy list for Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege. At the end of the guide will be a list of the trophies are can be obtained in the PS4 version not found in the PS5 Version and vice versa.

There aren’t many true missable trophies, as it’s very easy to jump into specific stages to grab the ones you’ve missed. The only “missable” ones are the ones you’ll need to complete in a playthrough.

| Best Friends | Bronze | Rescue the dog in Stage 11 | While it’s difficult to miss the doggie, it’s still possible. Use the password RACK to manually get to Stage 11 and keep entering the 1st door you see, and you’ll find the dog. |

| Double Tap | Bronze | Down thrust a Skeleton Thrower/Lobber before it rises | It can be done right at the beginning of Stage 14. Falling into a cauldron will make you lose 1 life, so it’s best to complete this using the password COOKED. |

| Prayers for the Fallen | Bronze | Pray for the corpse of a fallen player | Best done after a boss fight so no enemies will interrupt your prayer. Use Password PEW to fight the first boss. The die on your first attempt. During your 2nd attempt, defeat him while being careful not to attack your corpse. After the battle, you’ll have plenty of time to pray. |
