Defeat the Stag boss battle in Spirit of the North 2 with this guide.
Spirit of the North 2 has just released and brings our furry fox friend back to save some lost animal Guardians. By mending their pain, through the medium of a boss battle, you’ll help heal the land. Not only that but you’ll gain an ally to take on the final boss, Grimnir, the Shaman.
Defeat the Stag Boss Battle
To defeat the Stag, you must first get to him. You’ll do that in the Mosswood area, the second main area of the game. It’s a very green and woody area. As you explore the area, you’ll unlock access to the Temple of the Stag. You can find it within the ‘City of Mosswood’ area, the larger built-up area in the middle of the area.
If you’re struggling to find the items needed to unlock the Temple of the Stag. Look to the sky and follow the red ribbons. Where these lead are the locations where the temple items are. Once you’ve found an item, return it to the Temple of the Stag. Once both have been found, you’ll be granted access.
Make your way through, and you’ll find the boss arena with the Stag in it.

Hoof It!
If you’d rather watch a video, check out this one of me defeating the boss:
This boss battle is pretty simple. You’ll be tethered by a vine to the centre of the boss arena. To defeat the Stag, you must activate the three pillars that surround the edge of the arena. Because you are tethered to the centre, you’ll need to use your newly acquired ‘Spirit Fox’ form to reach and activate the pillars.
Dodge the Stag’s vine attacks until it gets tired. Once it does, activate Spirit Fox form and head to one of the pillars. Reaching it will start making it glow, indicating it’s been activated. You don’t need it to be completely filled for it to count. It will continue filling up, even if you run out of spirit energy.
The platforms to reach the second and third pillars get a bit more tricky, meaning you need to be accurate with your jumping to reach the pillars. Once you’ve activated the third one, you’ll be released from the vine in the centre. Head to the stag bones and press interact (‘X’ on Xbox).
Congratulations! That’s your second boss defeated. On to the next!

Just cant seem to beat that stag boss…..not enough life. Really love the game but so disappointed I cant get any further. Any tips ??
I would recommend making sure you’ve got the Rune of Eona equipped for the shield protection.
Would also encourage exploring the lands of the areas you’ve been to nab skill points for health and spirit energy upgrades
I kept spinning my camera do dodge his vines as they come from all around you.
I love the game as well, but i am stuck with the stag, my spirit energy just goes too fast, i explored the whole area, got all the skill points I could get and it’s not enough. I have the epona rune and the rune that makes spirit energy regenerate faster. But since the latest update my spirit energy just goes too fast and i can never reach the last pillar. This is really frustrating as i have 6 levels on spirit energy but can’t improve it more than that for now.
