Revenge of the Savage Planet – Toxic Positivity Achievement Guide

There’s a huge amount of collectibles in Revenge of the Savage Planet. Most of them are pinpointed exactly on your map, but for the Toxic Positivity Achievement and its related side quest, you’ll need to do a little bit of hunting. Or… follow our location guide below!

You can read our full review of Revenge of the Savage Planet here!

Xephyr Cryo Pods

Once you land on the planet Xephyr, you’ll get a quest to find data about Alta from Martin Tweed over at Kindred Aerospace. He wants you to dig up dirt on the company that took over his. Time for revenge!

For this quest, you’re looking for 5 sets of Cryo Pods located around the map. Once you find them, give them a scan.

Cryo Pod XE-12

You can find this Cryo Pod in Gnortt’s High Rise. You’ll need the grapple attachment to reach it.

From the teleporter, make your way to this spot on the map, using the grapple points from the base of the valley.

When you get to the other side of this area, there will be some Boneflies and an Alpha Vaperon, but just run past them and head up the slope. towards the big rock with the lighting mushroom tendrils around it.

Follow the path round to the right and you’ll find the Pods just under the outcrop below.

Cryo Pod NE1

This Cryo Pod is in the Stone Aerie in the Depths, so we’ll be heading underground. There are two entrances, so if you don’t have the lava pack yet, don’t worry,y we can enter from the bottom! To do so, you’ll need the magnetic fork upgrade, the double jum,p and the rail upgrade.

Starting from Cactus Valley, run over towards the lake area, and up the rocky outcrop where you can see a grind rail and three magnetic pillars stuck into the wall.

Grind over and then activate the first pillar. You’ll need to double jump onto it. From the first activate the middle pillar and double jump again, onto that.

Once you get onto the second pillar, turn around, and you’ll see a grapple point up to the alcove above.

Once you get up, you’ll need to smash the door using a crystal spear with you’re fork. Luckily, there’s one just up on the left behind the spitting plant and a grapple point.

Grab it, smash the wall open, and head inside to find your second Cryo Pod!

Cryo Pod ODD-2

This is the easiest of the bunch to find! You won’t need any upgrades, and it’s very close to where you just were for the last one!

Just teleport to the Cactus Valley teleporter, run straight to the rocky outcrop you just rail grinded off, and go underneath it.

Scan the Pods and you’re done!

Cryo Pod FIX-3R

Both this pod and the one after are accessed through the same location. This one doesn’t require any upgrades.

Head to the Great Oasis teleporter and look for the cave directly in front of you (there’s a main quest here, so you can’t miss it!)

If you head in the entrance on the right and drop down the ledge, you’ll be face to face with the pods!

Cryo Pod 10-DY

The last set of Pods is in the same area, but you’ll need to open some barriers to access them.

First, you’ll need the Ferro Goo pack upgrade to solve the lighting mushroom puzzle to open the door deeper into the cave. If you’ve done this for the main quest, it’ll stay open!

Head through here into the cave proper and drop down to the ground. Down here, you’ll need the Parry in order to redirect the amber from the Stinging Bloatus to the big red plants.

There are 3 of them located around the room, and you’ll need to do them in order of the one on the back wall, then the right-hand wall, and finally the one on the north wall.

After you finish feeding them, you’ll get a short cutscene and you can head into the cavern beyond the vines, where you’ll find the Pods on the left!

And that’s it! If you remember to scan all of them, the Toxic Positivity Achievement will pop!
