Revenge Of The Savage Planet – Press X To Pet Respects Achievement Or Trophy Guide

Revenge Of The Savage Planet is out now and in similar fashion to the first game, there are plenty of miscellaneous achievements/trophies to obtain. We’re here to help though! This guide will cover the “Press X To Pet Respects” achievement/trophy.

Habitat

If you are looking this up you’ve probably already unlocked the Zoologist achievement/trophy for petting 1 of your captured creatures. If you haven’t you will unlock that during this process. In order to obtain Press X To Pet Respects you need to capture 5 different species of creatures. We tried petting the same creature 5 times and also captured multiple of the same species and neither way worked. We didn’t unlock it until we had 5 different species (alpha species do count as a separate species).

In case you need a refresher, in order to to capture a creature you need to have obtained the whip and unlocked the creature section of your habitat which you won’t unlock until about an hour or so into the game. Once you have the whip you can hold down the melee button until it lasso’s above your head and locks onto a creature. Once it does let go and then hold it again to reel the creature in and capture it.

Simply go and capture 5 different species and head to the creature area back at your habitat. Walk up to each creature and pet them unlocking the achievement/trophy once you’ve pet the 5th one.
