It feels like just yesterday I was getting quite excited for Edge of Memories announcing their release date. Almost a month to the day since NACON announced a release date, they are now sharing that Edge of Memories will have a slight delay. While it was initially scheduled to be released in November, players will have to wait until December 3, 2026 to explore the continent of Avaris.
Not all news is bad news however. While the full game release has been delayed, a new updated demo will be available on Steam in early November. NACON has also shared that this delay will move the game into a quieter period of the year. Shifting the game to the end of the year will “allow players to discover the game at their own pace and fully appreciate it.”
During our initial preview of Edge of Memories, we note that while very pretty, it could use some more polish. The mechanics, the story, and the gameplay felt like a strong start. However, there were definitely opportunities for improvement. The most notable was ones where the game did not load all the textures correctly. It wasn’t something that would break the game but could take players out of the moment. Additional time to add some finishing touches could be exactly what Edge of Memories needs.

Until then…
That doesn’t mean you have to wait until December to experience any of Edge of Memories. If music is something you feel strongly about, you can listen to five songs from the game on streaming services here. The game boasts compositions from Mariam Abounnasr known for work on Xenoblade Chronicles™ 3, the vocals of Emi Evans who previously provided vocals on NieR™ / NieR: Automata™, alongisde Cedric Menendez who had previously worked on Edge of Eternity.
Edge of Memories will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on December 3, 2026. You can still pre-order your console editions now.
