Take It Studio have announced that they will be bringing well-regarded Steam psychological horror title, The Green Light to XBOX, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. Whilst no release window has yet to be revealed, the PlayStation Store listing is now if you would like to wishlist the game.
The game places players as Fred, a poor individual “stuck in a dead-end job, trapped in a cycle of dissatisfaction. He hates his work, he hates his boss, and his life feels like one long, constant disappointment.
But everything changes one late night during his shift. As he drifts through the monotony, a voice on the radio cuts through the silence, offering him something he’s longed for: freedom. The voice tells him that his escape is waiting at a distant lighthouse, a beacon calling out to him from the darkness.”
The short form Green Light released on Steam at the start of the year and has Very Positive reviews from 100 total. The title comes from developer waleedzo who also released The Black Within on Steam last year, which too has Very Positive reviews. If you’re a PC player, there’s a sale on each title at the time of writing, or a bundle including both for very cheap (<£2 here in the UK).
If, like me, this has caught your eye as you’re partial to a mysterious walking simulator with some psychological horror elements, may I suggest some of the classics including Gome Home and What Remains of Edith Finch. It’s been an incredible year for horror already in 2026, and with Silver Pines, Silent Hill Townfall and The Sinking City 2 still to come, there’s plenty to look forward to.
