As part of the excellent PlayStation State of Play showcase today, Konami have revealed the release date for the promising new Silent Hill entry, Townfall. Alongside a new impressive trailer which you can see below, the game’s release date has been confirmed as September 24, 2026. The game will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive but will also launch on Steam.
The game is played in first-person, which is unusual for the series which as preferred to opt for a third-person perspective, most recently with the excellent Silent Hill f which we thought was great in our review. The new trailer shows more of protagonist, Simon Ordell as he is called back to the island of St. Amelia – which was detailed more earlier this year – to find a place smothered in the franchises’ famous fog.
However, red lights begin to descend on Simon as he hides from a horrific beast behind a door he barricades in desperation. It’s a very intriguing world in prospect and we’ll be keeping an eye on Simon’s journey to St. Amelia as we approach launch.
Silent Hill Townfall is available for wishlisting now via the PlayStation Store and Steam ahead of its now confirmed September launch.
