“The show is about to start” as one of the most promising Metroidvanias of the year, Silver Pines finally has a release date. The horror title with clear inspiration from the likes of Twin Peaks will be arriving just in time for the spookiest of seasons, with a launch date of October 8, 2026. The game will arrive for PC and all consoles.
The game follows P.I. Red Walker as they look for mysterious missing musician, Eddie Velvet in the obscure, macabre and bleak town of Silver Pines. The 2.5D Silver Pines will feature a weird of array of townsfolk suspicious of outsiders, with Red Walker delving into their mysteries on his trail of Velvet.
In the latest trailer we see Walker taking on eerie enemies with an arsenal of led-fuelled weapons. The neo-noir town of Silver Pines will feature classic horror gameplay, with hand-painted, rotoscoped animations. The Metroidvania navigation will feature survival horror tropes such as locked doors, strange clues and more.
Coinciding with the release date announcement, the game’s much anticipated Steam demo is now available to download. It’s downloading on my Steam Deck as I type.
Silver Pines releases October 8, 2026 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S (including Play Anywhere), Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
