Kepler Interactive and Shapefarm’s Orbitals is one of the most promising Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives slated to launch for the rest of the year, promising to add an adorable anime flair to the genre-bending co-op madness of games like It Takes Two and Split Fiction. With the game gearing up for launch in less than two months, the teams have announced some of the game’s voice cast.
Orbitals is a co-op only sci-fi game inspired by classic anime such as Dragon Ball and Neon Genesis Evangelion. The game is the debut project from Tokyo based developer Shapefarm, which is led by an ex-Hazelight designer. In a similar fashion, the game sees players controlling a pair of characters through unique objectives while solving puzzles designed specifically for co-operative play.
Today, Kepler and Shapefarm revealed that the game will be localized in more than 8 languages at launch. It also revealed a few of the English voice cast members. Protagonists Maki and Omura will be voiced by Rebecca Wang (Street Fighter VI, Zenless Zone Zero) and Stephen Fu (Marvel Rivals, Live A Live) respectively.
Supporting characters Togen, Kinakoko, and Jaga will be voiced by Jonathon Ha (Genshin Impact), Cassie Ewulu (SMITE), and Brent Mukai (Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart). The opening animation for the game, produced by anime studio Massket, has also been released.
Orbitals will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4.
