Following a big XBOX Games Showcase 2026 just over a week ago, the platform has turned towards the next big event in the video game calendar, gamescom.

gamescom takes place in Cologne this August, with many major platforms already confirmed to attend including Nintendo who confirmed their attendance last month.Announced via X (formerly Twitter), little information was given about their booth or other activity for the convention, though they have confirmed that Gears of War fans will be able to get hands-on time with the campaign, which was showcased heavily at their Showcase.

Last year, XBOX held their own gamescom broadcasts which shared more on the ROG XBOX Ally handhelds and many now released titles including Keeper, Cronos: The New Dawn and Black Ops 7. There is no confirmation of any livestream event at this time, but we’ll be sure to bring you all the announcements if one takes place.

With a busy summer lineup, other games including Halo: Campaign Evolved, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and more, it’s likely there’ll be plenty of games to get hands-on with if you’re attending.
