Every announcement, trailer, and world premieres from the XBOX Games Summer Showcase from Summer Game Fest.

It’s finally here, after a long wait, it’s XBOX’s turn to get involved with Summer Game Fest. We already know we’ll be seeing the Gears of War: E-Day Direct immediately afterwards, but what other surprises have they got in store for us?

Gears of War: E-Day (PC, Xbox Series)

Experience the horror and brutality of Emergence Day. Fourteen years before the original Gears of War, join Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago in a gripping origin-story campaign as the Locust Horde first erupts from below, igniting a desperate fight for survival.

It releases 6 October 2026.

Fable (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Become the Hero you want to be in an immersive open-world action-RPG where each choice shapes your journey, reputation is everything, and fairytale endings are never guaranteed.

It releases 23 February 2027.

Halo: Campaign Evolved (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, the Master Chief and Sgt Johnson take part in Operation: Meteorite, in which they infiltrate a mysterious Covenant ship on a clandestine assignment. Experience their fight behind enemy lines in the form of three all-new bonus missions included in Halo: Campaign Evolved.

It releases on 28 July 2026.

Resonance: A Plague Legacy (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Embark on an original story, prequel to the award-winning games: A Plague Tale. As Sophia, journey to the Minotaur’s Island, outsmart deadly foes, unravel ancient secrets, and confront a mythical creature at the heart of a devastating curse.

It’s releasing 27 August 2026.

An unforgettable year with new friends awaits. But rumors of bizarre murders and a mysterious TV channel soon disrupt your peace, opening a door to another world.

It’s releasing 18 February 2027.

State of Decay 3 (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

The zombie apocalypse nearly wiped out humankind. Years after the initial outbreak, carve out a life for yourself in a world gripped by blood plague. Play as a community of survivors, build up your settlements with friends, and destroy zombies in State of Decay 3, the latest in the franchise from developer Undead Labs.

It’s releasing in 2027.

Sea of Thieves: Season 20 Custom Seas (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

From hosting multi-crew hangouts and concocting competitive game modes, to snapping stunning screenshots with an in-game Free Camera, Season 20 invites all pirates to enjoy the Sea of Thieves session of their dreams with Custom Seas!

Season 20 releases on 18 June 2026.

Metro 2039 (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

The METRO 2039 first gameplay trailer features nearly three minutes of footage captured completely in-game with jaw-dropping graphics, showing how the action and story unfolds across a dystopian post-apocalyptic future. Captured entirely in-game, with a blend of first-person shots and custom camera angles, fans get a first look at the Fuhrer Hunter, the man who has washed the Metro in lies and propaganda to gain the ultimate power. Eagle-eyed fans can see METRO 2039’s trademark mix of immersion, survival, stealth, violence, and horror. Everything that makes METRO, METRO, has returned, but there are some new features hinted at here too, from your first look at the Shatun weapon firing in anger, to new items, new mutant variants, and new ways to explore or take advantage of the environment.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember (PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series)

In this long-awaited sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which has surpassed over 5 million players worldwide, players must master the evolved Chinese martial arts and conquer battlefields of the Three Kingdoms overrun by monstrous demons alongside renowned heroes who left their mark on history.

Join US (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Start a doomsday cult of your very own! Recruit followers, build your compound, customize your cult’s beliefs, and defeat enemies in this 1-4 player co-op, action-packed, open-world survival experience. Can you survive the Apocalypse?

It releases in March 2027.

Senua (PC, PS5, Xbox series)

Announcing Senua, a new action-adventure set in the Hellblade universe. Senua, a Celtic warrior, is trapped between life and death in a fractured vision of purgatory. She must fight to reach the afterlife and reunite with those she loved and lost, battling forces that threaten everything she believes in.

It’s releasing in 2027.

Fallout 76 (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Explore, quest, build, craft, and fight across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Appalachia’s familiar places can host some unfriendly faces with Infestations! Rediscover “infested” areas across the map teeming with high-level foes and high-level loot, including new 4-Star Legendary weapons and armor mods! (That is, if you don’t all wind up exterminated instead.)

Doom The Dark Ages: Revelations DLC (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)

Wounded and betrayed, the Slayer is thrust into a merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths and forging new strength with the help of a mysterious ally. He must ascend from the prison of his mind and fight an abomination of the gods to set his followers on the path to freedom.

Featuring new levels with deeper puzzles, new demons, and new mysteries, Revelations opens up a whole new dimension of combat. The all-new deadly Chain Spear offers returning slayers a uniquely satisfying combat system – one that rewards mastery with enhanced power and mobility.

Xbox Series 25th Anniversary Series X and Controller
