Yerba Buena is a new puzzle adventure game from developers Mad About Pandas. While some puzzles are simple, in general it is quite a complex puzzle game with its copy and paste mechanic. Thats where we come in as we have a full text based walkthrough to get you through the complex chapters. This guide will help you with chapter 3, the Brewery.
The Brewery is the first level that really introduces puzzles, though it isn’t too bad and is more of an introductory level. Start out by speaking to the police officers infront of you.
Turn around after the conversation and head to the end of the street, sticking to the right hand side. At the end you will see a glitched out building, The Lombard Hotel.
Head inside and up the first set of stairs. Jump the little gap on the second floor and then look to your right to find an opening which will lead to many more stairs on the side of the building.
Head up all 3 flights until you are back inside again. Here there is another set of stairs to take up which will put you on the roof. At the top turn right and head to the corner of the roof so that you can look all the way down at the cars down below on the right.
You are going to want to copy one of them moving from right to left. Once you have aim down at your feet and paste the movement to the building. If done right this should move the building, and you, across to the other side of the road where all the other buildings are.
Now jump onto the highest section here and then jump the gap to the roof on the other side. Jump down from roof to roof until you are behind the brewery and on street level. Ahead you will see a large piece of machinery with a wrecking ball. To your left will be a bunch of ladders to the top of the brewery.
Head behind you and to the left of the machine to find a rotating drum. Copy it and scan the machine which will cause the wrecking ball to hit a dumpster up against the brewery. This will make a ramp allowing you to jump up to the ladders and climb onto the brewery roof.
Once on the roof turn to your right and you will see a crane. The crane is lifting something up and down. Copy that part of the crane while the item is moving up. Turn around and on the opposite end of the roof you will see the large sign. Paste it so that it all goes up in the sky revealing a stairwell down. Take the stairs to enter the brewery.
Once down here if you’d like, look to your left to enter the Bay Angel gangs hideout. Scan everything in the room to earn the Hideout Hunter achievement/trophy. Now turn around and head behind the stack of barrels to find another door that leads to more stairs down.
Double back and continue down the stairwell two more times until you are on the main level. A cutscene will play out where you will see Bear standing on a glitched brewery mixer with Russell trapped inside. Go over and talk to Russell who will of course ask to be saved.
Turn around and while keeping to the front of the brewery head to the far window. Look out and you will see a rotating dog head.
Copy it and then head to the back of the brewery where you entered this area. Make a left and drop down the hole where you will see a gear. Paste the rotating item onto it to get the elevator moving again. With it moving, copy the elevator car that is heading up and return to the room with Russell.
Paste the upward motion onto the stand that is keeping Russell captive. This will cause another scene and leave you outside the brewery once more. Head forward in the alley and jump through the opening in the wall. Once inside you will now see a small sign that is against the ground here with parts moving left to right. Quickly copy this and then run up the little ramp and scan the barrels to the left of the main door. If you don’t do this quick enough the cops will break open the door and you will need to do it over again.
This will cause yet another cutscene to take place. All that’s left to do now is head up all the stairs all the way to the roof once more. Once on the roof you will be teleported to chapter 4.
