Find all the Spirit of the North 2 Obelisk locations and earn yourself the ‘Map Maker’ achievement / trophy.

Spirit of the North 2 has just been released and brings our furry fox friend back to save some lost animal Guardians. By mending their pain, by exploring the land, and defeating them in boss battles, you’ll help heal the land. Not only that, but you’ll gain allies to take on the final boss, Grimnir, the Shaman.

There are many puzzles and secrets scattered throughout the world of Spirit of the North 2, some trickier than others. The Obelisks in the game allow you to expand your map area, clearing the grey fog on the map, revealing points of interest. These are marked with a "˜?' if undiscovered.

You don't unlock them by finding them, though, you must pay crystal shards to activate them. The first one starts at 15 shards and the later game ones cost 175 crystals. I would advise always having a decent stock of crystal shards on you in case you come across one.

To activate, find the little circular base near the Obelisk itself and look for the prompt to pay the toll (shards). Note that not all the circular base points are directly in front of the Obelisk; some are placed nearby but not entirely obviously.

You’ll unlock the “Map Maker” achievement / trophy for finding all the Obelisks. I count 36 Obelisks, but noticed that the achievement popped at 35. They are located all over the map, largely above ground.

You'll have to activate this one as a matter of progressing the game at the start.

I would suggest going for this one later on in the game when you have better runes to get there (dash, better swimming etc.). I think you might get eaten by the red eyed croc if you don’t have those.
