One of the most hotly anticipated titles of fall 2026, Phantom Blade Zero, finally arrives next week. The Chinese developed action ‘kungfu cinema’ title will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive, whilst also arriving to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on the same day.
Ahead of the launch, developer S-Game Studio have released the official launch trailer which gives players a fresh look at the story and some of the frantic, action that lies ahead of protagonist, Soul.
Phantom Blade Zero Physical Release
After a well-received State of Play showing, previews for the title have been glowing and we had an excellent hands-on experience at gamescom in August. One question players had repeatedly been asking was whether the PlayStation version of the game would receive a physical release, in time before Sony pulls the plug on new physical launches from January 1, 2028.
At the end of the launch trailer, three physical editions for the game have been confirmed to arrive in 2027. A Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate Edition with a collectible steel case will all be available for players. Details on what is contained within each edition is yet TBC.
Phantom Blade Zero Release Time and Pre-Load
For now, Phantom Blade 0 will release digitally only on PlayStation 5, Steam and Epic Games Store on October 28, 7pm PT.
The game will be able to pre-download from October 26, 7pm PT.
