Final Fantasy X Gets A Watch Collaboration For Its 25th Anniversary

It’s been some time since Square Enix announced anything new for the 25th anniversary celebration of Final Fantasy X, but their most recent reveal will make it a lot easier to track exactly how long it has been! The Japanese game publisher have teamed up with the Swiss watch brand Tendence to create a pair of wristwatches inspired by FFX’s leading duo and one of video games’ greatest romances, Tidus and Yuna.

Check out the Tendence x Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary collaboration trailer below.

The announcement was made via the Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary official website, with preorders now live until the pair of watches is released on Friday, November 20th, with each model limited to 200 pieces worldwide. The Tidus model is priced at ¥69,300, and the Yuna model is slightly less at ¥53,900.

“To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X, this special collaboration combines the ‘X’ from ‘Final Fantasy X’ and the ‘Ten’ from ‘Tendence’.

By blending the world of Final Fantasy X with Tendence’s bold and distinctive designs, we have crafted a timepiece that lets you enjoy the charm of the work right on your wrist.”

The base model for the two watches is the “De’Color” series, which allows for gradient colours on the case, dial, and strap, letting each one reflect their respective character to the fullest.

There are some great details that are worth highlighting on each model. Starting with the Tidus model, the hour hand is modeled on his starter weapon, ‘Fraternity’, the minute hand is inspired by the ‘Ultima Weapon’, and the second hand has a Blitzball at its tip. The logo for Tidus’ Blitzball team, the Zanarkand Abes, is set into the face, all finished with a gradient of blue and white.

For the Yuna model, the hour hand is based on the summoner’s starting weapon, ‘Nirvana’, and the minute hand is inspired by the ‘Magistral Rod’. The face of the watch is decorated with the same Sea Hibiscus floral decoration that is found on her obi, surrounded by a pearl finish. A gradient of pastel pink, yellow, and blue decorates the case, dial, and strap.

Watch Specifications:
