Crimson Desert had one of the biggest launches of 2026, both figuratively and literally. The game can easily take over 100 hours to complete and as of June had sold 6 million units merely 3 months after release. Now Pearl Abyss has announced that there is even more Crimson Desert coming in 2026 with the Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown DLC.
The Charting the Unknown DLC will be available October 15th for $24.99USD on all platforms. Players will follow Kliff, Oongka and Damiane beyond Pywel’s Shores in a ship as they explore the seas. You will find islands to explore, treasures on the ocean floor and sunken ruins.

Players who pre-order will receive two exclusive in-game items: the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka, and Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane.
There will be new threats to face both on land and at sea as players chart their own course. And while it seems like sea exploration will be the big focus of the DLC, thats not all. There will also be new stories waiting for players on Pywel itself.
Building Up Your Real Estate Empire
Additionally Charting the Unknown will see Crimson Desert get a big upgrade when it comes to house owning and the economy around that. Players can create and customize their homes to give them a more personal flair. You will also be able to rent and manage facilities that will help you grow your fortune financially as well as your bonds with the locals.
Crimson Desert has also been a critical success in 2026 with many thinking it will be a game of the year contender. In our review we gave it an 8 saying “Often feeling like a game chasing greatness, Crimson Desert is in every sense of the word ambitious.”
Honestly for Pearl Abyss to pull off a major DLC like this just 7 months after releasing such a big game, it’s hard not to be impressed. And fans of Crimson Desert will no doubt rush back to enjoy more time in Pywel and beyond.
