As we rapidly approach spooky season, an increasing number of horror games are lining themselves up for launch. The likes of Silver Pines, Hellraiser and Halloween are all scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks and months, but there are some other titles still looking to capitalise on the spookiest time of the year.
Inspired by The Divine Comedy, The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline will be arriving to XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on September 10, 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also confirmed but will arrive later this year. To announce the release date, the developers have shared a release date trailer featuring gameplay from the horror puzzler:
The first-person psychological horror takes place across two locations: The Villa, a melancholic Italian manor; and The Dive, ‘a distorted reflection of the infernal depths.’ Playing as Gabrielle, players must perform The Ritual to protect their family as every 33 years, the barrier between his reality, and Hell, fades.
Earlier this year we shared a demo impressions piece for The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline where we impressed by the game’s oppressive atmosphere, as well as its audio and visual design. If you want to check the demo out for yourself, it is available on Steam.
The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline Physical Edition
A Limited Edition physical edition of the game which includes an artbook and postcards will be released for PlayStation 5 will be available for the game’s release and is currently open for pre-orders on Amazon:
