If there’s one thing we can count on when it comes to major first party Xbox releases, it’s that they will be accompanied by at least 1 amazing looking controller. Today that traditional continued as Xbox has announced 2 new limited edition Gears Of War: E-Day controllers.
Announced via a new Xbox Wire post, the 2 new controllers for E-Day are gorgeous looking. Both controllers have a unique feel to them, with the red crimson Omen being a standout to me. The details on it are simply astounding featuring the crimson omen behind an e-hole with laser etched details on the handles.
I need a new controller like a hole in the head but I will certainly be adding at least one of these to the collection. Ah who am I kidding I’ll likely be purchasing both.
Pre-orders for the E-Day controllers begin today at select retailers including the Xbox store. Pricing is $89.99USD. Here in Canada that will be $114.99CAD.
Design Lab
Additionally for those who want to add a personal touch to their controller, fans can create their own using the metallic lancer design on September 30th. It doesn’t appear that the crimson omen design will be available in design lab.
Both options will be ready to ship and available to players by the time they jump into Gears Of War: E-Day on October 6th (assuming they ship early enough from time of purchase). As a huge Gears of War fan, that day can’t come soon enough.
