The Sinking City 2 Gets Extended Gameplay Trailer

Developer Frogwares has revealed a lengthy gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2 which releases August 18th.

The 12 minute trailer shows off the Arkham Fish Market, once a bustling waterfront hub alive with merchants, dockworkers, fishermen, and travelers. Now it is nothing more than a run down monument of how the city once was.

Eldritch monstrosities are now the main inhabitants walking the docks as only a few survivors remain.

We also get to see protagonist Calvin Rafferty in combat as the trailer shows some more advanced weaponry and tougher encounters. For those looking forward to this sequel it is sure to get the hype meter moving.

New Game+ Coming At Launch

Also as part of today’s announcements, Frogwares has said that a New Game+ mode will launch alongside the game on August 18th.

The new mode, a franchise first, will allow players to carry over all of their progress from their previous playthrough. This includes all perks points, unlocked perks and items allowing for players to perhaps unlock some peskier achievements. Cosmetic and gameplay rewards will also be unlocked via NG+.

Lastly the studio has also announced a HDR patch will roll out sometime shortly after the game releases. The patch will be part of its free post launch content.

The Sinking City 2 releases August 18th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. Pre-orders are available now.
