Following the news that PlayStation studio, Bungie will be ceasing development on new Destiny content just last week, another PlayStation studios game has had its servers closed. This time with no notice to players whatsoever.
This time it is Destruction AllStars, an early PlayStation 5 car combat title which released in February 2021 from UK studio, Lucid Games. As first spotted by X user, @realradec, a message on the PlayStation dashboard reads:
“Game Service Shutdown. Multiplayer services for Destruction AllStars have been taken offline. Destruction Points have been removed from sale on the PlayStation Store and can be redeemed until 25th November 2026. Arcade mode remains accessible to returning players”:
Destruction AllStars has now been delisted from the PlayStation Store, and the multiplayer servers have been shut down effective immediately

Arcade mode will still remain playable for those that still have the game in their library pic.twitter.com/0o0Kc7EFLN
A link to the game’s PlayStation Store page no longer works.
It seemed the game always faced an uphill battle from its announcement, as the game was pushed from the console’s November 2025 launch. The game was launched into PlayStation Plus for its first two months before being offered as a cut-price $19.99 title.
This is the latest fatality for a PlayStation live service game this generation, most will remember Concord which infamously had its servers shutdown only 2 weeks after launch. At the start of the console generation PlayStation had pivoted many of their studios efforts towards live service titles, thus their core single-player offering hasn’t reached the accomplished heights of the PlayStation 4 generation. Other projects including a God of War live service game at now shuttered studio, Bluepoint have been cancelled.
