The steady but delightful stream of Nintendo classics coming to Nintendo Switch Online continues. Whether it’s Nintendo 64, GameCube games like Chibi-Robo! or even Virtual Boy – which now has most of its library in the service – games being added, there’s regularly an exciting new old school game for a new generation to discover for the first time.
This time. Nintendo are adding three Game Boy games including 1994’s Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, and Game Boy Advance title, Dr. Mario & Puzzle League. The three Game Boy games are available for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, with Game Boy Advance games only available to those with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack – the tier including N64 and GameCube titles. All of these games will of course be playable on Nintendo Switch 2.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 will likely be the community highlight with this fresh wave of titles. One of Mario’s main nemeses has had a history of their own titles, perhaps most famously with the Wario Ware franchise. However, there went on to be several Wario Land games, most recently with Shake It! on the Wii in 2008. Beyond Wario Land, there is a strong following for Dr Mario games and with the beauty of 32-bit coloured graphics, this will likely be a great puzzle pick up and play when you have a spare few minutes.
