Continuing on their promise of bringing a significant portion of Virtual Boy games to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, Nintendo have added five new titles to the service.
Announced last September and debuting to NSO in February this year, the Virtual Boy promised that 14 games would be part of the service. The Virtual Boy only ever released 22 games in its very short life so it’s a sizable catalogue. In case you hadn’t seen, there is a Virtual Boy accessory available that provides the most authentic experience possible.
The new games joining the existing titles in the service are as follows:
- Jack Bros.
- Space Invaders Virtual Collection
- Virtual Bowling
- Vertical Force
- V-Tetris®
There will also be Virtual Fishing available for NSO+EP members in Japan (credit: Nintendo Life). This one never made its way to western shores due to poor sales of the hardware.
As part of the announcement, Nintendo have released a new trailer to showcase the games that are now part of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack:
According to Nintendo.com, the remaining titles to join the service will be as follows: D-Hopper and Zero Racers, neither of which were ever publicly released.
Also today, Nintendo have added a number of Virtual Boy icons for Switch Online members to purchase with their points:
