As a tricky month gets underway for XBOX, following yesterday’s news of plans to split with previously acquired studios and thousands of staff redundancies to come in the next 12 months, a ray of sunshine. The newest wave of games for XBOX Game Pass have been revealed including games for various tiers, from Ultimate to PC. The new wave of titles announced includes ten new games, including eight for Ultimate members.
There is quite a diverse range of games for the latest drop including the 2020 remake of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2, which joins 3+4 in the service. The Day One addition for this wave is time-bending roguelike action game, Ascend to Zero which arrives to Ultimate and PC on July 13.
The anomaly title of this latest set of titles is PBA Pro Bowling 2026. The officially licensed tenpin bowling game which has a high rating on Steam, features 30 licensed players and 270 licensed balls. Who knew there’d be so many? This one is single-player and multiplayer, just the kind of game for a chilled game night with friends.
Gears of War: Reloaded, the re-re-remaster of the iconic 2006 shooter is also joining Premium tiers of Game Pass after it joined as a Day One title for Ultimate members last year. It’s a campaign that holds up incredibly well twenty years later and I thoroughly enjoyed a co-op replay earlier this year.

And that takes us through to the second wave July when we will see some more games announced for XBOX Game Pass alongside the upcoming release of Halo: Campaign Evolved which arrives on July 28, 2026.
